CentraleSupélec is a public institution under ministerial charter, devoted to the sciences and engineering. This charter is shared between the Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, and the Ministry of Economy, Industry and Digital Technologies.
CentraleSupélec was officially established on January 1st, 2015, bringing together two leading engineering schools in France; Ecole Centrale Paris and Supélec. The co-operation between our two grandes écoles, as they are known in the French system, had progressively been gaining momentum since 2009, with sustained alliance in three core areas: engineering education, executive education and research.

Please note that this destination is only available for students registered in the Faculty of Applied Science and Engineering. There are 2 pathways for this SREP opportunity (please indicate which option you are pursuing in the Program Pathway section of the Learning Abroad application):
a) Not-for-credit (you do not pay U of T tuition or host university tuition).
b) Pre-approved research course: APS299Y0 (engineering, minimum 10 weeks of placement) (1.0 U of T credit)
Summer Research Opportunities 2026: students are welcome to reach out to laboratories directly and seek supervision approval from the research teams.
Housing: On campus housing not available, but the host university may share information on how to find housing in the area.
Application Process for Non-credit:
1) Review list of laboratories and identify your potential project and supervisor
2) Submit CIE application no later than March 1, 2026. (Rolling admissions. Students should obtain supervision approval at least three (3) months in advance of their desired start date. )
3) Reach out to potential supervisors and submit the following documents (rolling admissions and students are encouraged to apply early)

- ∗ proposed project and why you are a good candidate
4) Students who have obtained supervision approval please contact the host university’s mobility officer Ms. Julie Castel via julie.castel@centralesupelec.fr and provide the supervisor’s name and contact information, please use “Summer Research 2026 – University of Toronto Application, (last name, first name)” in your email subject line
5) Successful candidates will receive CIE nomination
6) Accepted students will receive further instructions from the host university
Application Process for APS299Y0:
1) Review list of laboratories and identify your potential project and supervisor, submit CIE Application by November 23.
2) Application will be reviewed by relevant UofT department and successful candidates will be nominated by CIE.
3) Nominated students reach out to potential supervisors and submit the following documents (**rolling admissions and students are encouraged to apply right after nomination, must obtain supervision approval at least three (3) months in advance of their desired start date.)
