The Cross-Cultural College (CCC) is a collaborative education project between Japan and Canada: Kwansei Gakuin University, Mount Allison University, Queen’s University, Western University, and the University of Toronto.
The KGU CCC offers the following course: Global Career Seminar in Canada (0.5 credit) during February Reading Week. It aims to introduce current business issues, and provide students with an opportunity to analyze and find solutions for actual problems that are assigned to them by companies/ organizations based in Canada. You will work on a business case together with students from Japan and Canada. Students will work on business cases for the following companies in 2025: Ernst & Young, Kubota Canada, Air Canada, and SHS (Student Homestay Service).
The program involves online Pre-Seminar Sessions that begin in November until January, and synchronous in-person seminars for 1 week during the winter Reading Week in February:

Online Lecture Series (both asynchronous and synchronous): November 1, 2024 -January 24, 2025
12 Online Pre-Seminar Sessions (including 2 synchronous sessions on Nov 15, 6:00-7:30pm and Jan 24, 6:00-8:00 pm)
Intensive In-person Seminar Period: February 17-22, 2025 at the University of Toronto St. George Campus

Note: Cross-Cultural College’s Certificate Program (CP): Students who complete one or more courses through Cross-Cultural College including the Global Career Seminar in Canada (Winter, February), Global Career Seminar in Japan (Summer, July), and/or Global Internship in Japan (Summer, August) may be eligible for the Certificate Program!
