Summer Research Exchange: Lund University

Located in southern Sweden, just 40 minutes from Copenhagen, Lund University gives international exchange and study abroad students the chance to experience an education from one of Scandinavia’s largest and oldest universities, a style of teaching that facilitates independent thinking, research and group work, and a study destination without the language barrier, as English is widely spoken here. The research placements are open to students of Pharmacology and Toxicology.

Research projects: Nominated students will participate in the International Summer Research School (15 credits) offered by the Faculty of Medicine.

Participants will be enrolled in a Lund research course VMFB73 (view syllabus here) and required to complete all assessments including course portfolio, oral presentation and written report.

Application Process:

  1. Submit CIE application by November 23, 2025. 
  2. Applications will be reviewed by the relevant U of T department
  3. Successful candidates will receive CIE nomination (SREP is a competitive program and nomination is not guaranteed)
  4. Nominated students will be contacted by the host university to complete an online application
  5. Accepted students will receive pre-arrival information from the host university
