Exchange Student At The University Of Toronto Scarborough (UTSC), 2019-2020
What is your favorite place on campus?
I was at the Scarborough campus, so my favorite place was the Toronto Panam Centre. This gym had everything. I didn’t get to explore all the facilities, but I’d religiously go play badminton and table tennis. The Pool Side Bar & Grill food was scrumptious. After a good sports session, I’d always get food there.
Has your experience of studying aboard at UofT changed you?
It broadened my perspective and made me see the world completely different. It helped me step out of my comfort zone and learn about how different people from around the world live. For me, it reminded me how short life is and the importance of enjoying all that life has to offer me. Most importantly, I created friendships that I hope will be lifelong.
What advice do you have for future exchange students coming to U of T?
Try to find people who are in the same position as you. People who want to go out and explore Toronto. Speak to as many people as you can and see as much as you can. It gives you a chance to bond with new people and create some strong relationships.
