Summer School Exchange: Akita International University

As a leading liberal arts university in Japan, Akita International University (AIU) has been recognized as one of the top universities in Japan for its humanities education and innovative approach. Its Summer School is a six-week, six-credit, intensive Japanese language program designed for highly motivated undergraduate students around the world. Participants can take elementary courses taught by experienced Japanese instructors to hone their Japanese language skills in a small class environment. Progress in Japanese may vary depending on student needs.

2024 Summer Program (June 17 -July 26, 2024)

Credit equivalency: Students will complete 6 AIU credits (1.0 FCE UofT).

Fees: Tuition fee (equivalent to 1.0 FCE) is paid to UofT.  Program fee (JPY 250,000) is paid to AIU. 

Housing: Housing is guaranteed, and housing fee is included in the program fee.  Please refer to this page for more information.
