As one of the first universities in Germany to be named a University of Excellence, the Technical University of Munich (TUM) is committed to excellence in research and teaching, interdisciplinary education and the active promotion of burgeoning scientists. Founded in 1868, the university is comprised of 15 academic departments as well as Integrative Research Centers engaged in cutting-edge interdisciplinary research.
Students can participate in research projects offered by the TUM Practical Research Program (PREP) in the fields of Architecture, Biology, Economics, Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth Sciences, Engineering, Kinesiology, Mathematics, and Physics.
Credit Equivalency: 5.0 credits at UofT = 60 ECTS. Students will complete 10 ECTS (0.5 FTE)

Housing: TUM International Center will support students in the organization of their accommodation (mostly reservation of dorm rooms).
Application Requirements: Transcript of Records, Motivation Letter, and Declaration of Insurance must be uploaded as one PDF file on Mobility Online by December 4, 2023. Make the necessary arrangement to get Letter of Recommendation in case nominated. Nominated UofT students will get an extended application deadline to TUM.
