Summer Research Exchange: Imperial College London

Imperial College London is a world-leading university for science, technology, engineering, medicine and business (STEMB), where scientific imagination leads to world-changing impact. Nominated U of T students will participate in the International Research Opportunities Programme (IROP).

This opportunity is not-for-credit and ONLY available to students enrolled in a study program (Specialist or Major) in the Department of Chemistry, UTSG.

Nominated UTSG Chemistry students will participate in IROP and be matched with supervisors in the Department of Chemistry at Imperial College London.

Housing: Imperial hall of residence

Application Process:

  1. Submit CIE application and supporting documents by the deadline
  2. Please include the following documents in your CIE application (combine all documents into one PDF file and upload to the “resume” section)
    • a) CV/resume
    • b) Academic record (unofficial transcript from ACORN is acceptable)
    • c) Motivation letter
    • d) List of 5 potential supervisors and areas of interest
  3. Successful applicants will receive CIE nomination
  4. Nominated students will be invited by the host university to complete an online application
  5. Accepted students will receive admission letter and pre-arrival information

**Please do NOT reach out to any faculty member at Imperial College London during your CIE application stage. Nominated students will receive instructions from the host university when their official CIE nomination status has been confirmed.
