Students are welcome to apply to join Lund University’s School of Economics and Management‘s International Entrepreneurship Highway, a unique program that combines courses in Entrepreneurship and Innovation Management, followed by a 10-week internship.
Coursework:
- Students will enroll in 2 courses FEKH92 Innovation Management and FEKH91 Entrepreneurship at Lund University
- It is not possible to enroll in any additional UofT course during the program period.
Internships:
- Upon completion of the 2 classes, students will participate in a 10-week internship, and be enrolled in an internship course IBUH01 International Business Traineeship
- Internships will consist of working full-time at a company (unpaid) such as an incubator, or an organization in the Lund innovation district or in close proximity. During this traineeship, you will integrate knowledge and theory from your education with practical application and skills development in a professional environment.
It is not possible to pursue only the internship. Coursework is part of this program, and students must take the courses that are designated by the program.
Final placement will be made upon arrival in Sweden, after consultation with the companies. While you will not know which companies and roles are available to apply to before your exchange, some potential companies include: Duni, Alfa Laval, Sony, Axis; Incubators, such as Ideon, Medicon Village, and Smile Venture Hub. Credit Equivalency:
The maximum number of transfer credits you can obtain from this program is 2.5 UofT FCE.
Each course transfers back to UofT for 0.5 credits (FEKH92 = RSM494H1 and FEKH91 = RSM493H1) and 1.5 credits for the internship (RSM4**Y1 + RSM**H1) for a total of 2.5 UofT transfer credits.
Housing: Off-campus accommodation offered by Lund’s housing partners, 23000-46000 SEK (approximately $3,300 – $6,550 CAD) per semester. Learn more about Lund University accommodations here.
