Independent Summer School: IIT Bombay

Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IIT Bombay)’s International Summer School is a one-to-two-week program with a diverse range of courses exclusively for international participants.

Students can choose to join for one or both weeks. Course options available:

Week 1 (June 23 – 28, 2025)

-Application of Biostatistics in Medical Research and Health Care
-Continuous Process Intensification: Flow, Electro and Mechano Organic Chemistry
-Strategic Multi-agent Artificial Intelligence
-High-frequency Magnetics for Power Electronics
-Financial Derivatives Pricing
-Foundations of Mechatronics: Hands-on
-Introduction to Observational Astrophysics

Week 2 (June 30 – July 5, 2025)
-Climate intelligence: Data Science for Sustainable Solutions
-Group Testing: An Important Tool for Data Science
-Waste to Wealth: Circular Economy and Sustainability
-Sustainability of Distributed Renewable Energy (DRE) Systems in Global South
-Becoming” an Entrepreneur: Leveraging Your University and local ecosystems
-Energy Data Analytics
-Waste to Energy
-Immersive Arts in Virtual Reality
-Network & Cyber Security

Courses are taught in English.

Fees

There is a registration fee of $65 USD, which includes:
-The course fee
-Accommodations on campus
-Airport pickup

Round-trip flights, meal, visas if required, and personal spending, are not included in the program fee.

Please note that while this is an independently run summer school through our partner IIT-Bombay, UofT students who are accepted into the program and are in financial need, may apply for the IE+ Award.

Transfer Credit

This program is not eligible to transfer academic credit back to UofT.

Safety Abroad

While these courses are independent through IIT-Bombay, as a partner of UofT, this program is still considered university-related, and accepted students will be required to complete the Safety Abroad requirements before departure.
