A two-week, in-person, part-funded summer course in Southeast Asia. Work with colleagues from around the world while learning about intercultural competence, social innovation, and entrepreneurship. The program fees (including accommodation and breakfast) and flights for selected students will be covered by the CIE.

If accepted to the programme, you will be joined by a diverse group of students from our INCiTE partner institutions.

What will I do?
On the INCiTE Summer School, you will:
- Work with colleagues from around the world while learning about intercultural competence, social innovation, and entrepreneurship.
- Build a business model with your team to solve a global challenge, and pitch that solution to academics, entrepreneurs, community leaders, and your peers.
- Demonstrate in-demand skills for your CV, such as problem solving, collaboration, and inclusivity.
- Join a multicultural student community from Australia, China, Scotland, Singapore, Canada, Cambodia, and Indonesia.
- Participate in an extensive programme of social and cultural activities designed with you in mind.

Where will I go?
The 2026 INCiTE Summer School will be held on the campus of Universitas Gadjah Mada in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

What are the global challenges?
The global challenges are outlined by the UN as the primary issues facing the world today.
The three broad global challenge categories for INCiTE are:
- Climate action, Environment and Resources
- Health, Wellbeing and Changing Societies
- Inclusive, Innovative and Reflective Societies
The Network for Intercultural Competence to facilitate Entrepreneurship (NICE) has developed a framework for addressing these challenges which you can use to help you decide which global challenge you would like to work on at the INCiTE Summer School.
Costs
The CIE will cover the program fees (including accommodation and breakfast) and flights for selected students.
Students will be responsible for the remaining travel costs, personal expenses, and visas.
Application
Students should complete INCiTE Summer School – Fill out form (resume & motivation in pdf are required) by Deadline: 11:59 pm Wednesday, April 1.
Safety Abroad
Complete the Safety Abroad Requirements (including both Safety Abroad Registry and Workshop) 4 weeks prior to departure.
