The University of Chile is the oldest higher education institution in Chile, and one of the most prestigious in South America. Located in Santiago, the capital city, it is renowned for its academic excellence, research contributions, and pivotal role in shaping Chilean society and culture. In the past 162 years, the university’s professors and alumni have developed the laws, institutions and the social, political, economic, artistic and cultural landscapes, highlighting the university’s significant influence in Chile. Students have taken courses here on Anthropology and Spanish language.
