Exchange: The University of Osaka

The University of Osaka is a wide open place for the education of citizens, and strives to make new discoveries that allow humans to gain more knowledge and advancing the university’s motto “Live Locally, Grow Globally.” Students have participated in Engineering research programs here, as well as taken courses in Economics, Japanese language and Contemporary Asian Studies.

There are four different exchange programs at The University of Osaka: OUSSEP/iExPO/FrontierLab/Maple.  Please read the program information and indicate which program you are applying to in the Study Plan section of your exchange application.

OUSSEP: No Japanese language requirement

iExPO: JLPT N1 or N2 required

FrontierLab: Research Plan is required. Only open to laboratory placements in Science, Engineering Science, Engineering, Information Science and Technology for April-August (5 months) or September to August (2 months)

Maple: JLPT N4 required, Full Year only

Credit Equivalency: 30 Credits = 5.0 U of T FCE

Requirements: Minimum CGPA: 3.0 (Undergraduates) or B (Graduates)
Language Requirement: JLPT N1 or N2 for iExPO Japanese-based program and higher than N4 for Maple program.
One year of study at UofT must be completed at the time of application.
