NOC program is all about providing students with the entrepreneurial experience they need to start-up their own journey.
The NOC program is a rigorous program where students will participate in a full-time internship at a start-up or established but innovative company in Singapore and take entrepreneurship-focused courses.
The program is offered in the Fall (early August to end of December) and Winter (early January to end of June) terms. Students will engage in a full-time paid internship at a small to medium sized start-up or innovative companies in Singapore while taking academic courses. Students from all majors can apply for this program. We welcome applications from students with prior work experience (e.g., part-time internships or full-time summer internships in related fields of their studies), a positive learning attitude and maturity to thrive in a foreign and highly competitive environment.
Successful applicants will be invited for an interview as part of the selection process to determine suitability and assess professionalism. Nominated students are required to participate in a mandatory in-person meeting (May/June for Fall term, Oct/Nov for Winer term).
Internship
-Nominated students will be required to go through online interviews and internship placement process which will be facilitated by the NOC Coordinators in Singapore.
-Placement is not guaranteed.
-Students participating in the NOC program should not have any other remote working engagements during the program period.
-Stipends from the internship is expected to be $800-$1000 SGD/month (CAD 780-980)
Coursework
-Students will enroll in 2 courses TR3202 Start-up Internship Programme (12 NUS Credits = 1.5 UofT transfer Credit) and another entrepreneurship-focused course (4 NUS credits = 0.5 UofT transfer credit).
-It is not possible to pursue internship only. Coursework is part of this program, and students must take the courses that are designated by the NOC program.
-Students in Co-op programs may use the TR3202 Start-up Internship Programme towards their co-op hours instead of transfer credits.
-The maximum number of transfer credits you can obtain from this program is 2.0 UofT FCE. It is not possible to enroll in any additional UofT course during the program period.
Credit Equivalency: 16 NUS Credits = 2.0 UofT FCE (4 NUS Credits = 0.5 UofT FCE)

Housing: On-campus accommodation at N-House is guaranteed. Please note N-House has no A/C. Students who wish to live off campus may source and rent private accommodation.
NOC Program Dates:
Fall Semester: early August – end of December
Winter Semester: early January – end of June
(Note: you cannot participate in the program if you have summer internship that overlaps with above program dates or is taking UofT summer courses.)
