Lyon 2-Lumiere University is a prominent university situated in Lyon, France. Home to over 27,000 students, it is one of the major institutions within the University of Lyon system. It is a pioneer in research in arts and languages, social sciences and humanities, economics, political sciences and law. The University is spread across two campuses: the Berges du Rhône campus, located in the heart of Lyon, and the Porte des Alpes campus, situated in the suburb of Bron. The former campus location is known for its historical architecture and central location while the latter has a more modern and spacious environment. Students have taken classes here in areas such as Linguistics and Geography.
