University of Toronto’s partner – Masaryk University – offers you a summer internship program in Czech Republic through the CzechMates Internship program, an opportunity to gain valuable work experience, while living in Brno, Czech Republic. Students are expected to work 200 hours over 8-10 weeks, plus attend a mentored seminar.

Program Costs & Funding
Please note that the internships are typically unpaid. U of T Students receive a discount of 400 Euros. An additional 100 Euro discount is offered to students who apply by January 1, 2026.
Students can also apply for the needs-based IE+ Award through CIE.

Application process
Apply through the Masaryk CzechMates application portal using your @mail.utoronto.ca email address. Nominated students will be contacted by both Masaryk University and the UofT Global Experiential Learning team.
All nominated students are required to complete the UofT Safety Abroad requirements before travelling. Students will not be eligble for funding if they do not complete these requirements.
