There are 2 pathways for this SREP opportunity (please indicate which option you are pursuing in the Program Pathway section of the Learning Abroad application):
a) Not-for-credit (you do not pay U of T tuition or host university tuition)
b) Pre-approved research course: APS299Y0 (engineering) (1.0 U of T credit)
Host university application timeline: Rolling Admissions with a deadline in late March, 2026.
Housing: On-campus housing not guaranteed
Application Process for APS299Y0:
- Submit CIE application by November 23, 2025.
- Applications will be reviewed by the relevant U of T department
- Successful candidates will receive CIE nomination (SREP is a competitive program and nomination is not guaranteed)
- Nominated students submit partner application following the guideline
- Candidates might be asked for a short online interview by the potential supervisor
- Accepted students will receive admission letter and pre-arrival information
Application Process for Non-Credit:
- Submit CIE application by the host university’s deadline (rolling admissions and students are encouraged to apply early)
- Submit partner application following the guideline within the deadline (*rolling admissions)
- Candidates might be asked for a short online interview by the potential supervisor
- Successful applicants will receive CIE nomination
- Accepted students will receive admission letter and pre-arrival information
**Partner Application Guideline:
1) Review research project list and identify your interested project
2) Contact kate.kenyon@strath.ac.uk with CV, motivation letter and transcript for project that you are interested in. Please mention your preferred start and end date.
3) Students might be asked for a short online interview by potential supervisors.
4) Nominated students who have confirmed a project complete an online application via the host university’s portal HERE.
5) Accepted students will receive admission letter and further instructions from the host university.
