Summer Research Exchange: University of Liverpool

The University of Liverpool is a dynamic, welcoming institution and a member of the prestigious Russell Group (representing 24 of the UK’s leading research universities). Located in the beautiful port city of Liverpool, this university is part of the fastest growing economy outside of London and with more galleries and green spaces than any other city outside of London.

Engineering students can participate in projects in various disciplines of Engineering. Arts & Science students can participate in projects in various fields including Latin American Politics & Modern History, Biology, and Psychology (projects subject to change).

Credit Equivalency: 5.0 UofT FCE = 120 credits. All projects are worth 15 University of Liverpool credits (0.5 FCE UofT). Engineering students are not eligible for transfer credits.

Departmental approved pathways: Engineering not-for-credit only (you do not pay U of T tuition).

Research projects: refer to the list 2024 projects. Minimum duration 8 weeks.

Housing: TBC

Funding: Students applying to Liverpool for 12 weeks should also apply for Globalink Research Award. Successful GRA applicants will not be considered for $3000 CIE funding and IE Award because the GRA amount is greater of the two.
