Summer Research: Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore

Founded in 1921, UCSC offers undergraduate, graduate programs in Italian and English and a strong interdisciplinary approach. It is the largest non-state university in Europe. It has campuses in Milan, Rome, Brescia and Piacenza-Cremona. UCSC is among the top 150 universities ranked in the 2018 QS Graduate Employability Rankings.

Students can participate in research projects in the fields of Environmental Science (Environmental Chemistry and Environmental Microbiology), Agriculture, and Food & Nutrition Science, as well as in other departments (Economics & Business, Accounting & Finance, Psychology and Linguistics, Philosophy and the Arts).


Credit Equivalency: 5.0 UofT FCE = 60 ECTS Credits. Students can earn 9-18 ECTS, depending on the research project and duration.

Research Projects: Projects in the School of Agricultural, Food and Environmental Sciences and other departments are available.

Funding: Students applying to UCSC for 12 weeks should also apply for Globalink Research Award. Successful GRA applicants will not be considered for $3000 CIE funding and IE Award because the GRA amount is greater of the two
