Interested students should apply directly to the host institution first, then seek CIE nomination approval if application is successful.

  2. Apply directly online via the GRIPS program portal by the deadline (11:59 p.m. (GMT+8), 1 March, 2026)
  3. Submit all supporting documents
  4. Successful applicants will receive acceptance notice
  5. Successful applicants please get in touch with CIE via global.el@utoronto.ca
  6. Accepted students will receive admissions letter and visa instructions from the host university

Notes: Preferences will be given to non-Chinese students who haven't studied in China before
