Exchange: Sookmyung Women’s University

Sookmyung Women’s University is Korea’s first national private women’s school and has been working tirelessly to meet the motto ‘save our nation through women’s education.’ Throughout its 107 year history, Sookmyung has accumulated invaluable educational experience, research capabilities, and community service experience. Students have taken courses here on the Korean language, culture, and history.

Available Courses

Restricted programs: There are only a few courses available in graduate course. LCB Hospitality Management major in undergraduate program and Some courses on Graduate School of Professional Studies are not open to exchange students. Some courses of Economics taught in English are restricted to the exchange students. ** International exchange students who wants to take capstone designed courses may require to pay extra fee. ** Courses from College of Fine Arts, Music and Dept of Dance may require strict pre-requisite course completion and practical courses of these departments are restricted for exchange students.

Housing: On-campus housing is guaranteed

 

Special Funding Available: Exchange students can volunteer in English Speaking Spot (ESS) and Second Language Tutoring program (SLT). Through this program, international Students get the chance of teaching their mother language to Sookmyung students and receive small amount of scholarship (KRW10,000 per an hour) throughout the semester.
