LSE Summer School is among the largest and most highly regarded in the world, offering students the opportunity to study courses created and taught by LSE faculty to a degree-level standard. With a diverse curriculum spanning business and management, accounting, finance, law, economics, international relations, and more, the Summer School attracts participants from all over the globe, fostering a dynamic and enriching academic environment.
Summer School 2025 will take place across the following dates:
- Session One: 23 June – 11 July
- Session Two: 14 July – 1 August
- Session Three: 4 August – 22 August

Post-Admission Transfer Credits: To qualify for and receive academic credits from this program, you must follow your home faculty’s Post-Admission Transfer Credit procedures. It is your responsibility to consult with your Faculty Registrar’s office regarding transfer credits for independent (non-exchange) summer programs. Post-Admission Transfer Credits are different from transfer credits earned through exchange programs, and there is no guarantee that Post-Admission Transfer Credits can be applied to fulfill your program requirements. There may be fees to apply for a transfer credit assessment. The request for Post-Admission Transfer Credit can only be submitted after completing the course(s). Alternatively, you can undertake this opportunity and choose not to request any transfer credit.

How to Apply (non-exchange):
1. Follow the Application Guide for U of T students and apply directly to LSE Summer School.
2. Complete the Safety Abroad Requirements (including both Safety Abroad Registry and Workshop) 4 weeks prior to departure. Only students who complete all Safety Abroad requirements are eligible for IE+ Award a discount on program fees at LSE.
3. If you plan to apply for a post-admission transfer credit, please ensure you follow your home faculty’s post-admission transfer credit procedures.
4. If you wish to apply for funding through the Centre for International Experience (CIE), you can apply for the IE+ Award. Please note that the processing time takes up to six weeks. If you are eligible to receive an IE Award+, your award will only be paid after all Safety Abroad Requirements are completed. You will not receive funds until you arrive at the site of your program.
Academic Transcript from Host Institution: Once you have completed your summer program, ensure that an official transcript is sent directly from the host institution to your U of T Faculty’s Transfer Credit Office, not to the Centre for International Experience.
