The University of Barcelona, founded in 1450, is a comprehensive higher education institution that presents deep academic tradition coupled with frontier scientific knowledge. It is located in the city of Barcelona, one of the main cosmopolitan hubs in the Mediterranean and indeed in Europe. University of Barcelona’s commitment to research has positioned it first in Spain in International rankings and as one of the most prestigious universities in the world regarding research impact.

Language Requirements: Only the Faculty of Economy and Business is open to non-Spanish/Catalan-speaking students; all other departments require a minimum of B1 or B2-level proficiency in Spanish/Catalan. Please check the Faculty/Department specific Spanish/Catalan requirements here.  Please read the FAQs regarding language requirements and class language.  

Students must take 51% of the total credits in the main School (Faculty).
