Founded in 1988, Universidad San Francisco de Quito (USFQ) is Ecuador’s first private university and a top-ranked institution in Latin America, holding the #1 spot in Ecuador according to the 2023 QS University Rankings. With over 8,500 students, including 1,000 international students annually, USFQ is known for its high academic standards and diverse course offerings, including 80 courses taught in English each semester. It uniquely features scientific stations in the Amazon Basin and the Galapagos Islands, the only university globally with such facilities, supporting a broad spectrum of academic interests and disciplines.
